I love the way this author weaves together real people and events with her characters. I mean, for goodness sakes, tears were welling up in my eyes with frustration at the end. I put this in part to her being 1) someone who does historical reenactments for fun -- and those guys are detail nutty, and 2) a journalist. I took one look at the book and thought that I would hate it.

The protagonist is 14, but the romance and adventure seem older. The way he gets the bodies is that he has people fake families of the unknown soldiers and then they have to give them the bodies and bring them to his laboratory. Then you can start reading Kindle books on your smartphone, tablet, or computer - no Kindle device required.
